When and How Do I Sign Up?
How to sign up:

Select your pickup location: current options are Harlem Valley Homestead Farmstand in Wingdale, NY OR Hastings Farmer’s Market in Hastings-on-Hudson, NY. You must select one (1) pickup location, you cannot alternate between locations.

Purchase your first month’s share. During checkout, you should enter the full name, email address, phone number, and credit card information that you would like to be associated with your monthly membership. You must also select the checkbox to ‘save your payment info” and follow the steps to Create an Account. You will then be able to manage your payment and contact information, pause, or cancel your subscription at any time. Once your checkout and account are complete you will be enrolled into the monthly meat share subscription.

You will receive an automated confirmation email of your first month’s purchase immediately. Within a week of your first purchase you will receive a welcome email with more details of your first month’s share. Your auto-billing will begin the following month on the 12th and renew automatically every month on the 12th until you choose to pause or cancel.

How do I know what to expect in my share? What do I do with this cut?
You will receive an email each month with details of what to expect in your share and a confirmation of that month’s pickup window. You’ll also receive a recipe, instructions, or inspiration to accompany the meat in your share. Tag us in posts on instagram or comment on our recipes with your questions or to see other member’s ideas and creations!
If I am going on vacation what do I do with my share?
You can pause your share before the 12th of the month and you will not be charged for that month. Your subscription will resume as usual the following month. See more about our terms and conditions here.
How can I request and order one-time add-ons to my share: specific cuts, eggs, or produce that I can pick up with my share?
HVH On-Farm Pickup location Members: you can place additional a-la-carte orders for meat, produce, and eggs through our online farmstand. Place your order by Thursday evening to pickup that same week. Your order is ready for self-serve pick up beginning at 4pm on Fridays through the weekend. Shop our farmstand here.
Hastings Farmers Market location Members: Shop our stand at the Hastings Market and pickup seasonal produce, eggs, and meat. Place a preorder by emailing us by EOD Thursdays at farm@Harlemvalleyhomestead.com. Hastings Farmer’s Market dates & hours.
I don’t live near a current pickup location, how can I get a meat share?
Perhaps this is a chance to establish a new drop-off spot! All we need is a distribution location and interested members. If you believe your friends would appreciate this service or have ideas for marketing in your area, let's explore it together. Reach out if you're interested in hosting—there's a chance for a free share!
We are currently taking sign-ups for an interest list in Wassaic, NY and Pawling, NY. If we can get enough interested members, we’ll make it happen! Add your name to the list.
How does becoming a member of our meat share support our farm?
While our monthly subscription model differs a bit from a traditional CSA (Community Supported Agriculture), our goals are similar. Knowing our customers personally and who we will be feeding every month allows us to better plan our harvests, provide a larger variety of cuts, and hold our most popular cuts to prioritize access for our loyal customers between harvests. We are excited to be able to provide recipe pairings and instructions for how to use cuts from every part of our animals, honoring their lives, reducing waste, and expanding your cooking and eating experience. By offering our meat share as a monthly subscription rather than a one time deposit, we are able to offer a lower price point while also having more consistent cash flow over the season. We look forward to getting to know our members and offering opportunities for you to get to know your farmers, our animals, and our practices.
