As Finance Manager for Harlem Valley Homestead, Mary Beth creates and implements business accounting systems that keep the financial wheels turning. She brings years of experience from building and facilitating accounting operations for various non-profits, to starting up Coyote Point Systems, a Millerton, NY based technology company. In her role Mary Beth brings her whole heart as well as her sharp, analytical mind. Her entrepreneurial spirit and inquisitive nature help form creative solutions to the constantly shifting startup environment.

 

In addition to her drive for creating systems, Mary Beth is passionate about honeybees and pollinators. She also oversees the apiary at Harlem Valley Homestead, and manages her own apiary, Five Hive Honey in Millerton, NY.  Her approach to keeping bees focuses on natural and holistic methods aimed at producing the best quality honey and optimal health of the bees.

I have been practicing healing arts and the body mind spirit connection for over 30 years. I am a Reiki Master teacher in the Usui Shiki Ryoho tradition, a teacher and practitioner of Shamanism and Shamanic Healing, a certified yoga teacher in the Embodyoga tradition and a certified Sundoor Firewalk Instructor and Trainer. I also work as an art mentor at an afterschool art program for high school students. I love to paint, make pottery, knit, and take photographs. And I am an avid  gardener and lover of the natural world!
