About the event
Join us for a walk around the farm and learn how to forage for wild foods and medicines as winter approaches. Sarah will discuss how to find, identify, and responsibly harvest nuts, greens and berries that can grace your Thanksgiving table. We will close the program giving thanks by sharing wildcrafted samples. Please come prepared for the elements and wear close-toed shoes.
Instructor: Grounded in a philosophy of environmental and agricultural ethics, Sarah Lucas is a farmer at HVH, educator and trained forager.Â
