About the event
Love the land and want to lend a hand? Throw on your gloves and help us plant trees!
Join Harlem Valley Homestead and Housatonic Valley Association on Saturday Nov. 3rd at 1pm to plant trees and shrubs along the Ten Mile River.
Riparian buffers, vegetated areas along stream corridors, are incredibly beneficial to reducing runoff, controlling erosion, and improving water quality. Join others as we plant hundreds of native trees and shrubs that will serve to enhance wildlife habitat and improve the health of our watershed. Learn more about river health, get your hands dirty, and connect with like-minded community members.
Volunteers should bring work gloves and water, sunscreen, bug repellent, etc. Open to all ages.
This will be a complimentary community event.
