Trail Magic

Let’s make some trail magic! Trail Magic, defined as an unexpected act of kindness, is a quintessential part of the Appalachian Trail experience for many long-distance hikers. Being located adjacent to the trial has made Harlem Valley Homestead an especially magical place and we're eager to return the favor.

During this event, we'll bake cookies together, gather fresh food from the garden, and go on short hikes on the trail to deliver them to hikers at the two closest Appalachian trail shelters. We will follow with refreshments from the farm and discuss ways conservation and recreation can support local economic development.
