Wild Edible Walk - Late Summer

Join us for a late summer walk around the farm with our own Sarah Lucas to learn about wild edible plants, mushrooms, and the ecological systems that support them.

Wild plants and mushrooms can be rich in the antioxidants, electrolytes, anti-bacterials, and phytonutrients which our diets increasingly fail to provide. Come 'forest browsing' around our beautiful farm, and meet these nutritional and medicinal resources.  Sarah will discuss how to find, identify, and responsibly harvest this wild abundance. We will close the program sharing wildcrafted samples.

Instructor: Grounded in a philosophy of environmental and agricultural ethics, Sarah Lucas is a farmer at HVH, educator and trained forager.
