About the event
Landscapes are infinitely unique, especially in this part of the northeast. Join us at Harlem Valley Homestead for a walk through the forest, and learn about the interwoven lives of organisms that make up the diverse Ecology of our region. Walks will be led by mycologist Luke Sarrantonio. Everything is connected, and in many cases this connection is facilitated by a group of organisms that are largely unseen. Let’s pull back the curtain to take a closer look at Fungi, and all the interactions that form the intricate, beautiful ecosystems we live in. Depending on the year, May can be early for many mushrooms to emerge, but we will discuss where we might find certain species throughout the year by tuning into biotic and abiotic factors.
All Levels. Children are free.
