Scott is the Marketing Manager at Harlem Valley Homestead. In this role he develops marketing and branding materials and oversees strategy. In addition, he assists the farm team by managing large-scale initiatives, such as High Tunnel construction, or the over 3 miles of cattle fencing installed in 2019. In a previous career, Scott lead the content division of an ad agency in NYC, whose work primarily focused on the fashion, beauty and luxury sectors, with clients including The Estée Lauder Companies, Tom Ford, Tiffany & Co., Mercedes Benz, etc. Scott has been surprised by how many skill sets acquired in one career can apply to another — carrots with dewy skin and wind in their hair also make for a pretty photo.
On a personal note:
One of my favorite lines from a poem:
"Dearest, though we have promised to care forever,
Remember, beyond these rooms where we sleep and wake,
It is green as jungle, singing, corruptible;
And the wall is a lie that any wind could break.
~ Mary Oliver, The Wall
